Love the balance and handle … so comfortable to use. Also the knife is incredibly sharp making it a pleasure to use.
Package arrived nicely and I couldn’t believe it is supposed to be a” kitchen knife . Looks very stylish, so much nicer than the usual kitchen knife. The design seems really cool . You can feel the material/steel of the blade is absolutely amazing quality, feels very solid and sturdy, it seems as if it won't bend or blunt , will last for ever. However Sharpness seems a little low, might need to be sharpened once. I have used it to cut some vegetables, cheese, etc…..I actually feel this knife is not very practical in the kitchen, it’s small, narrow and light, using it in the kitchen doesn’t seem ideal. But if you bring it to a picnic table or BBQ , it would be a great choice. Now I have put it in the drawer coz I have no other specific place for it, its design and style doesn’t seem to match my kitchen. Based on my personal experience with it, I have to knock one star off.
I am so happy with this knife, it is absolutely stunning to look at, the Damascus steel makes sure a beautiful statement with its design that is recognised across the world. Not only that, but the knife works like a dream. This is one of the best knives I have ever owned, the style of the knife, the comfort to hold it when using it is so fantastic and the knife cuts fantastically. This brand offers fantastic quality for a reasonable price when it comes to knives, and you will frequently find this brand in the top lists of Damascus knives. Overall, I am so happy with this knife and I highly recommend this.
I am a keen cook and when this Zelite Infinity Utility Knife came up for review, I jumped at the chance. On arrival, it comes in a nice presentation box. It also has a handy leather sheaf to protect the blade in kitchen draws when not in use. Aesthetically, it is a nice looking kitchen knife, although looks aren't everything! The knife is a lot lighter in weight than I would expect from such an expensive knife, but it does make it easy to use. The balance between the knife and the handle I find every so slightly out of balance, and would prefer the blade to be a bit heavier, but this is a personal preference. With regards to the blade sharpness, it is perfect. I've used this for a variety of food preparation, and it cuts through root veg with ease, as well as meat. I have owned and reviewed other kitchen knives on Amazon, and I have to say that whilst this Zelite is of exceptional quality, and I can still recommend it to you, I have reviewed other knives and given them 5-stars as I think there are better value knives made to this same standard.
This is an excellent kitchen knife. Well balanced, nice in the hand and oh, so sharp. The knife is sheer opulence from the outset. Really posh packaging and once open, the knife blade is encased in a thick quality leather sheaf and lies nestled in the velveteen packaging. My first impression on opening though, was that there had been some mistake and I had received a hunting knife instead of a kitchen knife. It looks seriously mean and feels a little over done. The blade is decorated with an intricate pattern and the handle feels pure quality. This knife begs for someone who really knows what they are doing in the kitchen and sadly, the poor thing has me. But hey, it certainly draws me to up my gain and no blood has been drawn so far. Having excellent tools will always improve a worker’s skills and who knows, this knife has certainly inspired me to improve my skills. This item would make a wonderful gift but you’d need fairly deep pockets as, at £75.97 at the time of writing, this knife is not cheap.
This 6-inch chef knife comes in a printed box and inside you’ll find the knife and a leather holder. The box is quite attractive and it toom me a while to figure out how to get into it as it looks like the inner slides out of the outer box sheath, but it doesn’t. There is a flap at the front that you lift up and it all feels like a quality product, and that’s just by playing with the box. The knife is forged by hand from AUS-10 Japanese Damascus super steel, and the hardness is enhanced to 61HRC. It features a unique burl wood and resin handle, and the resin gives a pearlescent effect which looks beautiful. The blade has a wavy effect which is really eye catching and you can feel the pattern when you run your finger over it. The knife comes with a soft leather sheath which keeps the blade protected and protects you from the blade when it’s in a drawer. In use, the knife gives a clean cut and is easy to use and is extremely sharp. The knife feels well balanced and extremely lightweight. The handle is light, lighter than I thought it would be, and it helps give the knife that overall balance. The build quality seems to be really good with this knife from the beautiful handle down to the tip of the Damascus blade. It cuts really easily and I’m very cautious when using it as it slices through anything with ease. A beautiful kitchen knife…
A really nice short kitchen knife. This 6" sharp chefs knife comes in a robust leather scabbard. with a little popper to stop the knife slipping out. The handle is a very decorative design and just lovely to hold. The blade has a wavy type of effect, apparently because of the layers of steel in the blade - this just adds to the style of the knife. As for the sharpness - yes, just very sharp! It makes light work for soft fruit and veg, and even firmer veg such as potatoes and carrots it just slips though them so easily. It is a bit on the pricey side for a knife, but the quality and sharpness are top notch, so definitely worth the money!
I’ve never owned a knife like this before. I’m completely in awe of it and how much easier cooking is now! It’s incredible! The knife comes displayed in a gorgeous box so it’s very giftable for a loved one. I like how it has its own leather sheath to store it in and that it’s easy to use. The handle is gorgeous and I find it very easy and comfortable to hold. I’ve found the blade to be the sharpest I’ve ever used and that it cuts through meat like butter. Its a strong, sturdy and well made knife and it’s very durable, so durable that my grandkids will probably be using it in 20 years time. I feel like it could last forever and never dull. It’s a high end premium knife and that’s reflected in the price tag but oh my it’s unbelievable in terms of its cutting performance and sheer beauty. It’s exceptionally good value for money and I have no hesitations in recommending it. Just be careful because it truly is super sharp!
Zelite Infinity Utility Chef Knife - 6 inch. Everything about this knife is absolutely gorgeous. Right from the packaging down to the knife itself. The weight of the knife is nicely balanced, and it's comfortable in the hand. The design and finish of the handle is nothing short of a work of art in my opinion. I have purchased many knives over the years. None have ever been anywhere near the sharpness of this Zelite. The leather sheath is provided for a reason. Overall not the cheapest knife out there, but it’s definitely worth every penny.
I like cooking, so a good sharp knife is essential for me. It is easy to hold and not too heavy. I use it to cut onions to pieces, cut oranges to slices, and even no problem on fish skin . So far feel quite impress on this knife but still think it is slightly expensive.
When it comes to kitchen knives I can say that I’ve used many different types of many different brands, working through my late teens to early thirties as a chef in some fine hotels, restaurants and other hospitality places, and eventually found knives I now use on a daily basis, cooking at home. The knives I use aren’t the most expensive but they are comfortable and I’ve come to like them as they don’t try and take the skin from my fingers when I’m chopping away a little too fast. But when I got the chance to use this knife I am now wondering whether I’ve found new knives which may well take the number one spot in my kitchen. If this one’s anything to go by. This knife is 270mm long, 155mm of that being the blade, and 25mm wide and a nice thickness to make it so easy to use with confidence. The blade is fantastic and slices through everything from tomatoes to potatoes, carrots to swede and much, much more. It cuts so well I can barely feel it as the blade slices clean through, so there’s no snagging or miss-cuts. And nothing sticks to the blade as it slices which I’m guessing the squiggly design on the blade has something to do with it. Plus, the handle really does look the part, even though it’s reason. It feels solid, yet light in the hand. With a grip that gives you a confident hold. The knife comes with a thick leather sheath with a press-stud on it to keep the knife in place. Although once this is on a knife rack/stand then the sheath is not needed. But if you were giving this as a present then the sheath adds to the excellent look of the entire gift. It says it’s a chef’s knife, but it’s not, it’s a utility knife as the blades way too short and shallow to work as a chef’s knife. But it’s still a cracking knife for most jobs around the kitchen. In all, a versatile little utility knife which may well become your favourite knife when working in the kitchen. But is it worth the £70.00 price tag? I’d say yes, without a doubt, especially if you’re in the kitchen a lot. I mean, I’m seriously contemplating buying the Chef’s knife, together with the paring, bread and carving knives too. Make it a set to be proud of.
This is a great knife. The packaging is good and I love the leather holder. Truth be told though I was expecting more from something labelled a Damascus blade. Maybe the issue with that is on me for my expectations rather than reality. It cuts well but is not as sharp as I was expecting. It took a little bit of honing to get to what I would call an acceptable level for a sharp knife. Don't get me wrong it's still good just maybe not as good as the price suggests it should be
While there are mentions this is made in China, the critical point remains this is made from Japanese imported steel. The blade is the finest I've seen, an entire presentation worthy of gifting. I've always said if you know you will use a tool frequently, pay extra to clinch extra quality, craftsmanship and durability into the future. The knife is simply stunning with its packaging and liquid nitrogen cooled steel effect. Zelite have done well to pay attention to first impressions. The utility knife comes in a thick but smooth button leather sleeve, tantalisingly bringing forth a gloating silver blade. From the silver sparkle to the wood and resin handle, this kitchen knife speaks luxury. The wavy effect on the blade makes this seem like a one-off, a tool unrelenting to offering the sharpest cuts. Being a utility knife, this has switfly has become to go-to knife. The knife can slice fine slithers of onions, fruits and meats. I am amazed to find the blades faces no resistance in each cut, piercing through layers like butter. I'm still a kitchen knife expert but as in the looks of this knife, the blade proves elegantly sharp for all-around use.
I am not a chef but I love cooking and I am a working person but I try to cook every day my dinner and lunch. I have never used such an amazing knife. I have not enough words to explain how easy is to use this knife the grip is awesome and it is very sharp even hard carrot just cut super easily. First of all, it is light weighted and I have arthritis and this is so good for me Grip is great The knife is very sharp It came in a lovely box with a leather cover. I never had such a great quality knife so now I can understand how nice it is and I wish I had it a long time ago. I definitely recommend this knife.
This knife is extremely good quality and equally important is very very sharp. It is housed in a rather ordinary box but on opening it is apparent that this is a good quality strong and well crafted utility knife. Easy to grip and comfortable in the hand it has a leather protective sheath which gives peace of mind if housing in a drawer rather than on a metallic block. It cuts through vegetables with ease and I am sure it will be up to all tasks required of it in my kitchen. Great value for money this is a knife that will last a lifetime and prove its weight in gold. Five stars.
This is another well made knife but slightly misleading in describing it as Japanese given that it is made in China. There seems to be quite a few manufacturers trying to muscle into this market. It's not cheap that's for sure but it is pretty impressive. I must admit I've never seen a kitchen knife before with a holder like this before. It looks like the sort of thing scouts used years ago. It comes well packaged so I'd say they are thinking this is probably seen as a gift item for the amateur home chef.
A stunningly beautiful knife which is an absolute joy to use. After years of using fairly average kitchen knives and being perfectly satisfied with them, we were lucky enough last year to receive a full set of proper Japanese knives and could not believe the difference. Now my other half is almost obsessed with kitchen knives in general and loves using them and sharpening them, before he wouldn’t have bothered helping prep in the kitchen, now we argue over who gets to do the prep!! This knife by Zelite is from a range called Infinity and is beautifully crafted. The blade is 45-layer stainless steel with nickel added and then liquid nitrogen cooled. It features a beautiful wave-pattern on the blade which is beautifully shaped for slicing. The handle is itself a thing of beauty burr wood in red and brown with lovely wood grain and highly polished and shiny with a sterling sliver cap at the end. It’s nicely balanced in the hand and comfortable to hold. Comes elegantly presented in a smart box with a magnetic flap opening and set within a foam velvet covered insert with its own leather sheath to keep the knife in. An absolutely fabulous knife highly recommended. I hope this review has been useful to you
I use a pinch grip style cutting method and My first use and wow they handle well, and feel comfortable, I was slightly worried that I couldn’t handle these so well without not seeing or getting to grips with them before purchase. But these have exceeded my expectations, very sharp and well balanced well for me anyway, these are a beautiful knife set and I’m glad I chose them. My worry is sharpening them, although i use a 1000 & 5000 grit whetstone on my older knives it scares me to sharpen new knives when that time comes. Highly recommend these knives, VERY VERY sharp (ask the tip of my thumb - no wait you can’t, she’s gone) so do remember to be careful! The difference between these and our old knives is amazing, they really are fantastic and look stunning in our kitchen
I'm not often left speechless ... especially not by a piece of kitchen equipment ... but this Zelite Infinity Wave utility knife is just astonishing. It's not so much a knife as a work of art. It's utterly beautiful: the blade, the handle ... everything. But it IS a knife, and I need to review it as such, so ... From a purely practical point of view, it's well-balanced, a great weight in the hand and as sharp as a razor (memo to self: wear your cut-resistant gloves when using it). It makes basic food prep jobs around the kitchen so much easier. Plus, because of the beautiful and streamlined design, it's a dream to clean as well. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Absolutely worth every penny.
This is overall a very good mid range general utility knife. It'll probably become one of your most used knives. Quality is good as is appearance, at least if you're not a big knife fan. For me the blade is a bit too much 'machined' style and lacks that hand made, every knife is different look. Too standardised. The blade itself is very sharp and easily slips through card - forget paper, zero challenge there. I'd prefer if the knife didn't have the black screen printed wording on it - makes it look a bit cheapo. I do like the excellent quality leather protective sleeve. This will make a big difference if you use it in a drawer rather than it being stored in a block on via a wall magnet strip. So day to day usability will be good I'm sure. Whether it holds sharpness over time we'd need to see. Do buy a suitable sharpener and use very regularly. I doubt anyone would be sorry for buying this knife and it'll get much use. It's priced rather less than my own similar knives, but does as good a job at this point. Aesthetics is a funny and rather personal thing. I love that my Japanese knives are hand made and fill me with confidence. Function will be very similar but for way less money here.
